I’ve used the Memory Dock twice more since the beginning of June. Definitely worth the investment for me. I’m down to one shoulder tote and a tool tote for crops! I’ll be retiring the wheeled bags for now, and only bring them out for the weekend retreats.
Have any of you used the Crop-A-Dile Eyelet & Snap Punch by We R Memory Makers? I love this tool!
I use a lot of eyelets and brads in both cardmaking and scrapbooking. It’s always been a challenge to set eyelets quietly during a late night crop – this tool solves that problem for me most of the time. It does have a very limited reach, but I can usually plan around that by layering papers if needed. On the negative side, it can be fairly clunky, and a challenge to store. I am hopeful they release a similar tool with a longer reach.
Cutter Bee Precision-Cut Scissors: these little scissors are the bomb. They’re super sharp, with a nice, pointed tip. They can handle most of the paper piecing duties you’d ever need. The yellow and black color scheme on the handles is also convenient, as it makes them very easy to find in your tool bag!
All My Memories – Tote-Ally Cool Tote 10″W X 20″H-Purple/Purple: I know, I know, why would you ever need another tote? Everyone has totes, lots of them. This thing looks like it’s based off an electrician’s tool tote. It’s heavy duty, and has lots of pockets, niches, straps, etc. I have put my most often used, smaller tools in this baby and have found it to be one of the most useful things I own. It travels easily from my desk to a crop and back again. It also comes in some pretty cool colors. The newer version has an option for a rotating base, which I would soooooooo recommend.
Cropper Hopper embellishment box: I first saw one of these at a scrapbooking retreat. I had been struggling with how to store all the embellishments I was accumulating. I know, in an ideal world, I’d only buy exactly what I needed for the specific project I was working on. Unfortunately, I haven’t approached embellishments in quite that manner. And when I have, I inevitably have had some left over. I can’t see throwing them away……… Anyway, this box, with the smaller organizing boxes that fit inside it, was my salvation. It does take time to take the embellishments out of their packaging and organize them into the containers, but in the long run the time spent is well worth it.
