Hello Again

It’s been quite awhile since I’ve touched this site, and I’m sorry for that. I left a full time job, started a business, took at part time job and left that part time job, was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, closed the business, and moved from the Midwest to the Southwest. Oh, we also adopted a puppy, lost the pup to cancer less than 3 years later, and adopted 2 more puppies. I wasn’t doing much crafting.

I started making cards again a couple years ago. They are easy to handle, small projects in scope, and don’t require a lot of concentration. In short, the perfect thing for this stage in my life! I also just signed up for my first ATC swap in 10 years, so that’s exciting too.

So much has changed in the past decade. Companies I used to love, like Cosmo Cricket, are long gone. Basic Grey is now mostly fabrics. I’ve discovered other companies to fill in the gaps, and I love the creativity I’m finding: Technique Junkies, Sweet Sentiment, Rabbit Hole Designs, Stamplistic, and more.

Here are a few cards I’ve finished recently:

Stamps from Kindred Stamps, Distress Ink background, star stencil from Rabbit Hole Designs, colored with Copic alcohol ink markers
Stamp from Technique Junkies, colored with Copic alcohol markers.
Background is a floral stencil with Shimmering Bliss sprays from Technique Junkies.
